Newly unveiled is the “bounce” effect used in juggles. Jin, Devil Jin and Yoshimitsu have new Player 1 and Player 2 Outfits, Jin however, is the only character to have both of his outfits on displayed seperately in his individual arcade and console cg art images. Note Xiaoyu, Nina, Anna, Hwoarang (wears his in his cg art) and Julia have new player 2 Outfits. Tekken 6 might have 4 costumes for each character as shown in the latest gameplay videos. Most returning characters have regained the original colors to their Player 1 and/or Player 2 outfits from Tekken 5 and did not keep their default palette swapped outfits from Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. Xiaoyu's 1P outfit was originally pink but in Tekken Dark Resurrection and Tekken 6, it is orange. Some returning characters have new player 1 and/or player 2 costumes others have minor changes to their original costumes. All jabs are now universally 10 frames except Ganryu's whose jab is still 12 frames( ). The universal low parry no longer guarantees a launch. In some cases, a move may simply have a new command. This includes additions of new moves and losses of others such as Heihachi Mishima's Twin Pistons (d/f+1,2). Minor changes have been made to the move lists of all the characters. It is noted that fans of Bruce Lee and those that know of Jeet Kune Do will be very pleased. Many changes were done to Marshall Law. They also changed the properties where Lei can be counter-hit and juggled out of his laying down stances. They look more like Shun Di’s laying down stance from Virtua Fighter 5. 
A lot of Lei Wulong’s laying down stances have been changed. Part of his story includes the fact that his sword is now losing power, and he must take a new fighting style, Kenjutsu from the Manji clan, this includes both dual sword fighting and pure fist fighting. Harada notes that it will be much more difficult to use Yoshimitsu this time around, and they consider him an “Expert” character. So far, Yoshimitsu has gone under the most drastic change. There is a "rage system" where the lower one's health is, the more damage is dealt with each hit. Specific items must be equipped when customizing a character in order to use the move. Although not all of them will have the same effectiveness. All characters have an “item move”, as seen at the AOU trailer. In late December 2007, custom colors were introduced as part of Tekken 6's Winter Campaign in Japan. There are many customizations that are common to all characters (glove less and shoeless, caps, star-shaped sunglasses, etc.)and various character-specific items. There are items corresponding to different parts of the body, and you can swap tops/bottoms from each of the various costumes, as well as substitute alternate options. Character customization is far more detailed than in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. Stages are connected, sometimes through levels, meaning that characters can be knocked through walls and floors. 
Animations have been changed for every character.

The LIVE monitor will be 42 inches and output at 720p, the deluxe cabinet monitors are 32 inches and will output at 720p as well.The Tekken 6 arcade board/PCB kit will retail for 598,000.00 JPY(4,833.86 USD) and will include 1 Tekken 6 PCB, 2 Tekken 6 control panels, and a Sega Net City kit.The standard arcade cabinet will retail for 1,758,000.00 JPY(14,210.26 USD) and will include 1 Tekken 6 PCB and 2 game stations.The deluxe arcade cabinet will retail for 4,480,000.00 JPY(36,229.72 USD) and will include a LIVE monitor, 2 Tekken 6 PCBs, 4 game stations.Instead, the console version called Tekken 6, which will be released to the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360, will be the equivalent of Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion, which was a arcade-only game. It has been revealed by Namco-Bandai during a special press conference that Tekken 6 (arcade version) will NOT be released as a console version. It is the first Tekken game to feature the Octave Engine, breakable floors, like in Dead or Alive, " Item Move" features for each character, the " Bound" system, and the " Rage" system (see below). While having been released, it has been updated and patched by Namco-Bandai a few times.

Tekken 6 is the eighth game in the Tekken series and was released in Japanese arcades on Monday, Novemand worldwide for arcade machines as of January 2008.
